MPL MY

MPL MY (MPL Malaysia) is the professional Mobile Legends: Bang Bang league in Malaysia, run by the game's publisher, Moonton. Season 18 has eight partner teams, and its champion and runner-up qualify for the M8 World Championship.

The format

  1. The regular season is a double round robin: every team plays every other team twice, each match a best of 3.
  2. The top six teams reach the playoffs. Seventh and eighth are out.
  3. Seeds 3 to 6 play a knockout first round, the upper quarter-finals. The losers are out.
  4. The top two seeds and the two winners play a double-elimination bracket: until the grand final, a first loss drops a team to the lower bracket, and a second knocks it out.
  5. Playoff matches are best of 5. The lower final and the grand final are best of 7.
  6. The champion and the runner-up go to the M8 World Championship.
