Team Spirit are the MCC Season 8 champions after a 4–0 win over Aurevia Team in the Grand Finals, Moonton’s newsroom reports. The result is their eighth MCC title and sends them to the M8 Main Stage in Istanbul, Türkiye.
That keeps alive their bid for the Golden Road, which Moonton defines as winning every big regional and international title in MLBB Esports in a single competitive year. A world title at M8 would make Team Spirit the first side to complete it, and no team from EECA, the region covering Eastern Europe and Central Asia, has tried before. Earlier in 2026, Team Spirit lifted the trophy at the Mid Season Cup (MSC), held at the Esports World Cup. No team from outside Asia had won a major international MLBB event before.
The Team Spirit roster
The squad is built around Kemiran “Sunset Lover” Kochkarov, who plays mid lane, and Stanislav “SAWO” Reshniak, the roamer. The two first played side by side at the M1 World Championship in 2019, the first M Series, and still share a team. Zaur “zauregoist” Magomadov plays in the jungle, Anton “Hiko” Pak takes the gold lane and Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos holds the EXP lane.
Three EECA teams at M8
Team Spirit are not the only EECA side going to M8. Aurevia Team, runners-up in MCC Season 8, and Team Yandex will start at the M8 Wild Card, held in Bangkok, Thailand, in what is their first M Series. It is the first time EECA has three teams at one international MLBB tournament.
Ajay Jilka, who leads Moonton’s esports work in EECA, Türkiye and Western Europe, said: “Our approach to global growth starts with building competitive depth in each region.”
Istanbul in January 2027
M8 is the first M Series to come to Europe, and the first split across two continents: the Wild Card in Bangkok comes first, then the Main Stage. Istanbul stages that final part in January 2027, bringing together 16 teams.
The route to the same tournament for teams in MPL MY is set out in The road to M8: what MPL MY Season 18 decides, and the league’s results are on the MPL MY Season 18 page. The full release is on Moonton’s newsroom.
