Aurora Gaming have won Season 8 of the MLBB Türkiye Championship (MTC), taking the Grand Finals against FUT Esports 4–3 to hold on to their domestic crown. Moonton’s newsroom reported the result on Sun 8 Nov.
The road to Istanbul
The champions now turn to the M8 World Championship, which Türkiye hosts in Istanbul in January. Moonton says it is the first time the M Series flagship event comes to the country, and its first stop in Europe. The event will bring 16 teams to the city, so Aurora Gaming will play for the world title in front of a home crowd.
Moonton lists the Aurora Gaming roster as Rosa in the mid lane, Pagu at roamer, Lunar in the EXP lane, Tienzy in the jungle and Sigibum in the gold lane.
FUT Esports, the runners-up, still have a way in. They go to the M8 Wild Card in Bangkok, Thailand, where they meet nine other teams in a fight for the last three places on the Main Stage. If they get through, Türkiye will have two sides playing for the world title in Istanbul.
A milestone for Türkiye
The head of the Turkish Esports Federation, Alper Afşin Özdemir, gave a speech to the crowd ahead of the deciding series. He called the arrival of M8 “an important milestone in Türkiye’s presence on the global esports stage.”
The M8 Wild Card in Bangkok comes first, before the Main Stage moves to Istanbul in January. Moonton’s full release also points fans to tickets for the closing rounds of M8, the Knockout Stage and the Grand Finals. More MLBB esports news, including MPL MY, is in Esports.
